Scholarship

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP POLICE ASSOCIATION DICK WILLIAMS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

ATPA is proud to be a part of this Scholarship and has awarded over $20,000 in the past six years.  The Abington Township Police Association is offering an academic scholarship to any eligible township resident meeting minimum requirements as set forth:

  • Abington Township Resident
  • Must have graduated high school in the top 20% of his/her class
  • Must be attending an accredited college/university directly from high school
  • Must produce either an acceptance letter or roster from the college/university he/she will be attending
  • Must submit a certified high school transcript and brief letter explaining why he/she is deserving of the scholarship
  • Transcript, roster/letter of acceptance and request letter must be postmarked by August 30th of the application year
  • Must have no criminal record

Each application will be reviewed by a committee established by the Williams Family and one officer from the Executive Board of the Abington Township Police Association. The number and amount of each scholarship will vary from year to year depending on the funds available and will be determined by the Williams Family Committee.
